Your Surgery

The information in this page will help you having a more manageable experience. Please read it through and contact us should you need further assistance.

Before Your Procedure ASK QUESTIONS!
Let us know about medications you are taking. We will tell you if you should stop.
Arrange for a ride back home after surgery (it must be someone we can trust you with), and your time off of work (for recovery).
DO NOT eat or drink anything after midnight on the day before your surgery.
Ask your doctor for specific instructions.

DO: bathe on the morning of your surgery; wear clean, loose, comfortable clothing and shoes to the Center; review any special instructions provided by your doctor;
DO NOT: consume alcohol prior to surgery; smoke prior to surgery; wear jewelry or bring valuables to the Center.
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING ON THE DAY OF SURGERY.

You will be transferred to a recovery area.
Your recovery time will depend on your surgery and other factors. Once assessed as ready to be discharged, you and your relative or friend can leave through our discharge area.
You will be given instructions for home care and should be able to resume activities in 24 hours.
